About JAKA Zu 12s

  • The largest of the Zu S series in terms of working radius, the 6-jointed JAKA Zu 12s has full freedom of movement within 1327mm, and can handle payload of 12kg. It has an in-built industrial force sensor, making it perfect for applications with high force control requirements – for example precision assembly, scaling, polishing on complex surfaces.
  • The force control module allows for dynamic, instant adjustments in the contact force threshold. When any force exceeds the designated security value, or maximum contact force threshold, the cobot ceases to apply more force. This is used to maximize safety in cases of collision, and precision in cases of application.
  • JAKA Zu 12s can be mounted without the need for safety fences, and, with its 6 joints providing high maneuverability, can be installed at any angle.

Force Sensor

The force sensor may be installed either at the base, or the end, of the Zu 12s. The result is remarkable accuracy, repeatability and safety, even with its relatively high payload.

Force Control Module

With three available modes – constant force, normal tracking and speed mode – the force control algorithm, together with the force sensor, gives the cobot significant flexibility. The force control settings may easily be adjusted via the JAKA app, where control settings and force values are displayed in real-time. Whenever set force thresholds are exceeded, the cobot reacts instantaneously.
